AVIRT is the response to active violence situations while in an unarmed environment. You will receive a certificate from HSI after completion. Stressing scenarios involving Stop the Bleed.
This 2.5-hour workshop is designed to bridge the gap between carrying a firearm and actually knowing how to deploy and train with it daily. Many firearm owners struggle with finding the right holster, selecting a comfortable carry position, and finding the time or budget for regular range visits.
This course solves those challenges by focusing deeply on methods of concealed carry and establishing a structured, highly effective home training (dry-fire) program. Students will participate in physical, dry-fire practical exercises to master drawing techniques, trigger control, and safety protocols without spending money on ammunition.
This dry-fire, classroom-based course is designed for homeowners who want to master the physical and spatial mechanics of home defense. Instead of focusing on marksmanship, this curriculum prioritizes the cognitive and physical aspects of moving safely within a structure, utilizing angles to maximize protection, and integrating low-light tools effectively.
By the end of this course, students will be able to: 1. Move through a simulated home environment safely without flagging themselves, bystanders, or loved ones. 2. Apply the geometric principles of "slicing the pie" to navigate corners and doorways. 3. Successfully integrate handheld flashlights with an inert firearm using at least two standard techniques (Harries and Temple/Neck Index). 4. Outline a personalized, strategic emergency plan for their own home layout.
Bring the family out for a fun and educational event focused on youth firearms safety fundamentals, responsible habits, and friendly competition. Participants will learn core safety principles in a family-friendly setting, followed by an exciting family vs. family and parent vs. child airsoft challenge.
