What You'll Learn
This is an open range shooting event that will focus on Basic and Intermediate handgun shooting. Number one focus will be firearms safety and basic handgun fundamentals to build confidence in handling firearms. The Instructors will provide hands on training to emphasize the importance of firearm safety and the safe handling of firearms. Students will also demonstrate their competency on the range by discharging firearms on the range from distances of 3-25 yards using the handguns and shotguns.

All students must have taken a basic handgun course prior to this range event or possess a valid CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT. Instructor Introductions, Range overview, course overview
- Safety Briefing- Includes range orientation, safety guidelines.
- Firearms will be available for rent -Ammunition will be provided for purchase to those who will be renting a firearm -Hearing and Eye protection will be provided -Range Safety Officers (RSO) will be provided -Emergency evacuation plan
-Explain and have students recite the four basic firearms rules Courses of fire will be as follows:
- Basic Handgun Course of Fire *200 Rounds
- Intermediate Handgun Course of Fire *300 Rounds Shotgun Course of Fire *100 Spread #7/#8 *75 00 Buck *25 Slugs
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 7 days in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 7 days before the class will not be refunded.
What We'll Teach
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
This lesson will continue with the basics, including a very visual overview of what we call the “building blocks” or the fundamentals for accurate and safe shooting. Within this lesson, Michael Martin will explain the differences between the skills required for being a good “marksman” at the range, and the skills that might be required to save your life if you are ever the subject of a violent attack.
