John Cuebas

My name is John Cuebas and I grew up in New York City in the borough of the Bronx, graduated from Adlai E Stevenson H.S. and attended 1 year at Herbert H. Lehman Community College. Served in the New York City Police Department as a Police Officer and a Detective for 20 years from July 18th of 1984 until I retired on July 20th 2004. While a member of the Police Department I was assigned to the Staten Island Landfill where we manually tried to find any remains for DNA purposes to bring closure to families who lost loved ones on that tragic day 9/11. As a Detective I was assigned to the Firearms Analysis Section where I was a firearms examiner. I also received armorers certifications such as Glock, Smith&Wesson, Kahr Arms, Colt, Mossberg, Sig Sauer, Beretta Etc. I have received training certificates in the use of computer ballistics systems such as IBIS, Intergrated Ballistics Identification System and Drugfire System. I received certificates in the field of Serial Number Restorations from the Bureau of Alcohol Tabacco and Firearms. Also received certificates in Advanced Shooting Incident Reconstruction. I was deemed as an expert in the field of Firearms Examination in several court jurisdictions in the city of New York. USCCA CCHDF Certified Instructor since May of 2023.
