RAYMOND CHAIRS

Raymond "Scott" Chairs began his career in law enforcement more than 30 years ago with the DC Metropolitan Police Department. His journey from Patrol to the Special Operations Division led him through many training environments. These include firearms, special chemical weapons, active shooter training, tactical shooting, defensive tactics and less lethal weapons. He has been involved in many special situations including responding to multiple active shooter incidents. After retiring in 2020, he became a firearms and police tactics instructor to armed protective security officers for United States Government contracts. He is an NRA Certified Firearms Instructor for Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun. He is a Chief Range Safety Officer, as well as a Certified Firearms Instructor for DC Special Police Officers. He holds an instructor certification from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice System in firearms (Pistol, Patrol Rifle, Shotgun, Advanced Firearms) He is a certified instructor in the use of Oleresin Capsicum (Pepper Spray), Monadnock Expandable Baton and Monadnock Defensive Tactics. He also holds instructor certifications from the American Safety and Health Institute and the American Red Cross in CPR/AED, Basic Life Support, Oxygen Administration, Tactical Emergency Casualty Care and First Aid.
