In this Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals class instructed by USCCA Instructor, which meets requirements for a concealed carry permit in the great state of Maryland, you will learn about or be refreshed on the basics of self-defense, home defense, and concealed carry. This includes:
• Understanding and using conflict avoidance to prevent escalation as well as the importance of de-escalation • Understanding and using situational awareness • Home Security and developing a home defense plan • Understanding use of force and proper escalation of force in a self-defense scenario • Basic shooting fundamentals and concepts • Physiology of violent encounters - how your body responds to high stress situations • How to handle the mental and legal aftermath of a self-defense situation
This course is scheduled to last 14 hours in-classroom located at 200 E Joppa Rd, Suite 101 Towson MD 21286
2 Hours Range Time at Guntry in Owings Mills
In addition to the classroom and range activities which are standard for CCW and HQL, students will also get to participate in a live interactive simulator to help reinforce the principles and situational decision making that are taught in this fun, engaging but seriously informative course. Our goal is not to just get your certified, its to make sure you are safe, well trained and fully understand the responsibility that comes with carrying a firearm.
This class will allow you to purchase a regulated firearm in the state of Maryland.
This class is a CCW MD Renewal class that will take place on Sundays from 8am-4pm starting at the gun range and then heading to the office for the remainder of the class.
