My Biography

Erik Kangas is an assistant instructor for Minuteman Training under Master Instructor Luke Burkholder. Erik is a combat veteran, EMT, former government contractor, and award winning competition shooter in USPSA, IDPA, and PCSL. Erik uses his skill as an instructor and shooter to facilitate high quality, high performance information transfer. Erik is a firm believer in being able to articulate, demonstrate, and reproduce results in students. His back round not only includes time in a two different combat theaters, but also as a contractor with the specific task of preventing and countering the active shooter. Erik also has study a few different styles of hand to hand combat and been through the United States Army Advanced Situational Awareness Training course.
