John Proveaux

John Proveaux is an honorably retired Special Agent Supervisor from the California Department of Justice. With 8 years' experience teaching Enhanced Firearm Shooting Techniques and Safety Principles. He is a licensed instructor with the National Rifle Association (NRA) and United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA).

He has 30 years of experience in conducting criminal investigations spanning several states from local homicide investigations to multistate drug smuggling investigations with Riverside County Sheriff and California Department of Justice.

His experience in teaching, developed early in his career while educating local law enforcement, community members, students, and elected officials on the horrors of drug use and officer safety techniques when investigating drug crimes and firearm safety.

After retiring, John's concern for gun safety in the community led him to provide firearm safety and self-protection training to business owners and the general public. His firearm training curriculum has been approved through several counties in southern Idaho.

John teaches the 8 hr. Idaho Enhanced Concealed Weapons course and the California Non-Resident CCW Range Course. Both are fun, fast-paced training courses geared to the general public. The course focuses on shooting accuracy, firearm safety, and shooting techniques that will increase your confidence when defending yourself and others.
