My Biography

Welcome to Spartan Shield Defense. Our mission is to equip individuals with the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to protect themselves, their families and their homes, while promoting responsible gun ownership and advocating for our constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

I am a private citizen with a deep respect and unwavering support for our military veterans and law enforcement members, who dedicate their lives to protecting our communities and nation. While I don't come from their ranks, I share their commitment to public safety and responsible firearm ownership. As a private citizen, I am attentive toward protecting our 2nd Amendment Constitutional Rights through the education and safety protocols of responsible gun ownership as outlined by the United States Conceal Carry Association (USCCA).

My passion lies in helping you - fellow private citizens - gain the confidence, wisdom, and comprehensive understanding of the profound responsibilities that come with carrying a firearm. I believe that through proper education and training, we can empower individuals to make informed, ethical decisions, contributing to a safer and more accountable society.

Perry is extremely knowledgeable, but what stood out most to me was how patient and easy he is to learn from. He explains everything clearly, answers every question, and makes sure everyone is comfortable before moving on. Safety is obviously a top priority for him, and he takes the time to explain not just what you’re doing, but why you’re doing it. I left the course feeling much more confident and with a better understanding of defensive shooting than when I arrived. If you’re considering taking one of Perry’s classes, I highly recommend it. No matter your experience level, you’ll learn a lot and leave a better, more confident shooter."

    "My experience today was great. It was my first time at an Outdoor range and Perry personalized it to my skill set (2nd time live fire shooting). He challenged me with the curriculum and I came out a better shooter and it definitely built my confidence even more. Perry has an array of firearms, tons of knowledge and it was awesome to see him shoot too. Perry is kind, patient and knows how to correct you and explain how to do it better when he notices it. 2hrs went by too quick even under the hot sun.
