"Don Ericson is simply a great instructor! I took my CCW class with Don last year and have been wanting to develop my skills ever since. I have owned guns and have shot intermittently over my lifetime but never had any formal training. After receiving my CCW and a few trips to the range I realized through self critique, I needed to get some help. That’s when I saw through USCCA the Handgun 1: Basic Handgun Shooting Fundamentals Class that Don was teaching at the Gun Shop and Range in Leesburg. I again was more than impressed with Don who is a patient, skilled, informative and professional instructor. He asked me what my goals were and helped me to improve my shooting skills by showing me proper techniques and explained the how and why of the changes he made in my grip, setup, sighting, presentation and target acquisition. By the end of the course I was grouping shots I could be proud of and my self confidence level increased substantially. Don also gave me exercises that I could do at home to continue to improve my skills and I look forward to putting those into practice. I will definitely be taking additional classes from Don in the future and I highly recommend and encourage anyone who wants to improve their ability and skills to seek out Don or a local qualified professional instructor. "
