Bill Quirk

Bill Quirk is the Range Master and Lead Instructor for ShootGTR and the president and director of training for the Defensive Training Group (DTG). Mr. Quirk is an honorably retired veteran of a mid-sized law enforcement agency in north central Florida with over 20 years of service.

During his law enforcement career, Mr. Quirk served eight years as a uniformed patrol officer prior to being transferred to Investigations. For the last nine years of his career, Mr. Quirk was permanently assigned as a full time investigator and instructor with the US Marshals Florida/ Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force. He has served as the lead instructor for his agency's active shooter response team and has been certified as a firearms instructor by the State of Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.

He holds credentials as a USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Instructor and as an NRA Law Enforcement (LEAD) Patrol Rifle Instructor. He has served as an adjunct instructor for Morrigan Consulting and Sentinel Concepts.

He holds the rank of Shodan (First Degree Black Belt) in Jiyushinkai Aikibudo. He has instructed the use of and developed curriculum for the tactical deployment of firearms for local, state, and federal law enforcement, for the military, and for citizens interested in lawful self-defense.
