Amy Propernick

Amy started in the corporate world and transitioned to a small business owner for the flexibility it offered when her first child was born. She has been providing her customers with customized resources, skills and techniques in order to empower them since 2003. She is a patient and detail-oriented instructor with a passion for ensuring her customers attain their goals. She is sensitive to the fact that everyone has a different method of learning and may need special accomodations and will meet their needs.

She is active in shooting sports and knowledgeable about all firearms. She shot Sporting Clays in the Colorado Sporting Clays Association and Trap in organized leagues. She also enjoys hunting elk, deer, pheasants, and other upland birds.

She volunteers as the Chapter Leader of The Armed Women of America (AWA) Shooting Chapter in Brighton, CO. AWA exists to enable women to be their own self-protectors, creating freedom, peace of mind, and confidence in themselves. Amy insists that women in the chapter have the skills, mindset, and training to defend themselves and those in their care.

She is an NRA Certified Instructor in the following disciplines; Basic Pistol, Personal Protection in the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home, Defensive Pistol, CCW, Basic Rifle, Basic Shotgun, Home Firearm Safety, Metallic Cartridge Reloading, Shotgun Shell Reloading, and Refuse to Be a Victim. She is a Massad Ayoob Group - Use of Deadly Force Certified Instructor, The Well Armed Woman Certified Instructor, as well as a USCCA Certified Instructor. She is a verified CCW instructor according to C.R.S. 18-12-202.7. She has attained the rating of Distinguished Graduate in both the Defensive Handgun and Practical Rifle disciplines from Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Nevada. She is a Certified Chief Range Safety Officer and based out of Colorado Clays Shooting Park in Brighton, CO.
