My Biography
Alisha Curtin is a California firearms instructor, educator, wife, and mother with a passion for helping people become safe, confident, and responsible firearm owners.
Alisha is a San Diego County DOJ-certified CCW instructor, California P.O.S.T.-certified firearms instructor, and BSIS-certified firearms instructor. She is also a USCCA Certified Concealed Carry & Home Defense Instructor, USCCA AR-15 Instructor, NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer, GLOCK Certified Armorer, The Complete Combatant IBDD Instructor, OC Spray Instructor and a MAG Deadly Force Instructor.
Before becoming a full-time firearms instructor, Alisha spent years teaching biology, chemistry, forensic science, and criminal justice. She brings that same educator's mindset to firearms training, making complex topics understandable and creating a comfortable learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions.
Her training emphasizes firearm safety, concealed carry, defensive mindset, situational awareness, home defense, legal considerations, and practical skills. Alisha believes effective firearms training is about more than simply learning to shoot—it is about developing the knowledge, judgment, and confidence to make responsible decisions when it matters most.
Whether working with a new firearm owner or an experienced shooter seeking additional training, Alisha strives to meet each student where they are and provide instruction tailored to their individual needs.
