This Basic Handgun Course - is a comprehensive 4-hour block of instruction. This course was designed to take the beginner shooter from knowing nothing about handguns, to becoming proficient and confident in a very short amount of time. The USCCA Handgun Program of Instruction (POI) is broken into levels of proficiency. The first two are entry level courses, designed to teach the basics of pistol safety and marksmanship fundamentals. It is the goal of this course to provide you, as the entry level student, with the skills and the knowledge necessary to make you comfortable, as well as safe when handling a firearm. You are not going to become an overnight expert from one of my courses, but you will be confident and competent. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about taking the course. This is an entry level course that transitions well to the Concealed Carry and Home Defense course. Teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude for owning and operations a pistol safely. Private Training geared towards the individual who would like to enhance and refresh their firing skills, or learn the basics to get starting on their journey of firearms ownership. We will cover: Proper grip, Stance or shooting platform, Point shooting, Flash sight picture, Sighted fire and Trigger control. A MINIMUM OF 1 HOUR OF INSTRUCTION REQUIRED.

Women's Basic Pistol is designed to reach women who are brand new to firearms, and introduce the basics and fundamentals of firearm use. We build on these skill which will lead you into the second phase of training in the Level 2 intermediate pistol class.

Additionally, we will cover common equipment used for carrying a defensive handgun and other tools you can incorporate into your ongoing training. This course meets the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Minnesota Department of Public Safety guidelines as well as Florida’s application process. You will learn the different processes for each state as well as the associated fees. A Course Completion Certificate will be given after successfully completing this course. Prior knowledge or experience with a firearm is not required. The course will require a live-fire exercise for those wishing to apply for their Minnesota and Florida permit. If you already own a defensive handgun, you are encouraged to bring it for your qualification. Handguns will be available if you do not have one of your own.
