Brian Lawson is the owner and lead instructor for WytheTac P.S.C. Brian is a professional law enforcement officer with over 26 years’ experience. He currently holds the rank of Chief of Police with his respective agency. At his former agency, Chief Lawson held the rank of Patrol Division Lieutenant and Tactical Team Leader. He has conducted numerous missions as a Tactical Team Operator, and for five years, as the Team Leader. His specialties include Firearms Instructor (where he is certified by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services), Master Instructor through IALEFI, ALERRT Active Shooter Instructor, CQB Instructor, Patrol Rifle Instructor, and STOP THE BLEED Instructor. Chief Lawson has attended numerous schools relating to SWAT/Tactical Team Tactics, Firearms, mass casualty response, combat medicine, etc. He is currently an adjunct instructor with Wytheville Community College for the Firearms and Defensive Tactics courses. He was also an instructor for the Southwest Criminal Justice Training Academy in the disciplines of Combat Shooting (Handgun and Rifle), SWAT/Tactical Team Entry Methods, and Active Shooter Response. Chief Lawson has also been the guest speaker at numerous churches, businesses, schools, and civic organizations on Active Attack Response and Mass Casualty Mitigation.

WytheTac P.S.C. has an instructor cadre with a combined 40+ years of experience in the Tactical/SWAT and Emergency Medical arenas. WytheTac Instructors boast impressive training resumes in areas such as firearms, tactics, trauma care, and combatives. WytheTac instructors are educated and trained professionals with a vast experience base.
