Vernon Ashby

TGFT is a firearms training company with a vision to increase safety in our communities by providing professional firearms training and education across the nation. ​​ Vernon Ashby, is the CEO and Firearms Instructor. He began his firearms instructor journey after being selected to train Federal Law Enforcement Officers. After gaining experience as a Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor, he started Tight Grouping Firearms Training LLC. Vernon is a USCCA Certified Firearms Instructor, a NRA Certified Firearms Instructor, and a Maryland State Qualified Handgun Instructor. He graduated from Old Dominion University (ODU) in Criminal Justice, and spent over 10 years in the law enforcement and security arenas, prior to starting this business. He has a passion for firearms training, and takes his time with each customer.
