What You'll Learn
Virginia & Utah Concealed Carry Permit Class One course. Two permits. More options.
Firearm laws in Virginia are changing, and with those changes, interstate reciprocity is increasingly uncertain. For responsible gun owners, preserving legal carry options across state lines matters more than ever.
This 4-hour instructor-led course satisfies the Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) training requirement and provides the required instruction to apply for the Utah Non-Resident Concealed Firearm Permit.
Utah’s permit is widely recognized and has long been a smart companion to the Virginia CHP, offering broader reciprocity with other states and added flexibility as laws evolve.
What this course includes:
- Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) training requirements
- Utah Non-Resident Concealed Firearm Permit training requirements
- Firearm safety and responsible handling
- Use-of-force principles and legal considerations
- Reciprocity overview and practical carry considerations
- Step-by-step guidance for completing the Utah application (fingerprinting included).
This course is designed for law-abiding citizens who want to stay informed, compliant, and prepared—before legislative changes reduce available options.
No live fire required. Certificate issued upon completion.
Cancellation Policy: Payment is non-refundable. If notice is given at least 24 hours in advance, the class fee can be transferred to another class within 90 days.

Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Virginia’s legislative climate has placed reciprocity agreements under scrutiny, which could affect where Virginia permit holders may legally carry in the future. While laws continue to evolve, one thing remains consistent: once options are removed, they are difficult to regain. The Utah Non-Resident permit has historically been valuable for Virginians because it: Complements the Virginia CHP Provides broader multi-state recognition Offers continuity if reciprocity rules change This class is intentionally structured to meet both Virginia and Utah requirements in a single course, reducing confusion and eliminating the need to attend multiple trainings. If you’ve been considering multi-state carry, this is a smart time to act.
