Common Sense Safety LLC is committed to empowering women to make and implement common sense personal safety choices with confidence and competence. Kimberly LaFave designs unique presentations and classes to meet the needs of specific groups. Depending upon the age group and audience, these skills include prevention, avoidance, conflict de-escalation, getting assistance, rendering aid, and use of non-lethal and/or lethal self-defense. We specialize in working with women who have no prior experience with self-defense or have been victims of violent crimes.

Kimberly LaFave is a USCCA Certified Instructor. She is also a Certified NRA Instructor in the following disciplines: Home Firearm Safety; Basic Pistol; Basic Rifle; Personal Protection in the Home and Personal Protection Outside the Home; Range Safety Officer (CRSO); and is certified to teach the Refuse to Be a Victim curriculum. Additionally, she has received specialized training on the instruction of women and is a TWAW certified instructor.
