About the Women’s Basic Pistol Course

If you’re looking for an opportunity to join other women in learning the basics about firearms, this Women’s Basic Pistol and Handgun Selection course is for you.

What you’ll learn:

This course is a blend of classroom and practical on-the-range instruction in which you’ll learn:

· Basic firearm safety rules and safe gun handling

· The parts and operations of semi-automatic pistols and revolvers

· The fundamentals of shooting: grip, stance, aiming, sight alignment, trigger control, and follow-through

· Ammunition types and selection

· How to choose a firearm that fits you—you might be surprised at what you’re most comfortable with!

· Numerous tips for situational awareness, avoiding conflict, and personal protection

This is the class required for the Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit. The class will cover all of the state requirements and will conclude with a live fire shooting event on the range. Once the class is complete you are eligible to apply to the state for your Concealed Handgun Permit.

This is a 2 day course that will prepare you to become a certified USCCA instructor. Approximately 8 hours of e-learning is required before the course.

This class is the foundation of armed self-defense training. From stance to grip to physical shooting technique, this class will help you get your body to work with your gun instead of against it. You will learn which intuitive skills work best with what your body will naturally do while under the stress of a violent encounter. Whether you’re looking to train on the basics of putting bullets where you want them to go or building your skill for rapid acquisition and engagement of targets in a real-world scenario, you’ll find it in Defensive Shooting Fundamentals.

Do you carry a gun concealed? Can you get that gun in the fight as fast as you need to be able to? Self Defense incidents normally take place at close distance (less than 2 arms lengths away) and is very fast. Getting your gun in the fight is a task you need to master if you expect to prevail.
