My Biography
I am a 22 year Army Veteran, and an advocate for 2nd Amendment rights. I became a licensed firearms instructor to do my part in educating and informing African Americans on safe gun ownership. I am passionate about self-defense, safe gun ownership, and gun maintenance. Private and Virtual classes available. All classes can also be taught in the comfort of your own home. This introductory course is designed for new/beginner gun owners, with little to no formal firearms training, or those that need to get reacquainted with their own firearm. We will cover understanding conflict avoidance, situational awareness, handgun basics; shooting fundamentals; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath).
We will discuss;
- How to pick the right gun for you
- The mindset of a gun owner
- Common mistakes of new gun owners
- Brief on Ga laws
- Being protected as a gun owner
Class Preparation: You must complete the corresponding online learning course. (Automatically sent to you upon registering for the class.) You’ll be taught by a USCCA Training Counselor on a number of valuable topics including: Top ten instructor mistakes and how to avoid them Teaching best practices Running a safe live fire range Demonstrate your knowledge of the USCCA training material through seven short presentations to a group of your peers Run a live fire range, guiding your peers through the safe completion of the USCCA course of fire By combining the knowledge of the USCCA and your passion for training more responsibly armed Americans, you can be assured that you’ve found the instructor certification for you
