Women's Handgun Fundamental's is all about the basics and ensuring that you feel comfortable operating any firearm. In this course you will learn the basics of operating a handgun, guns and gun safety and understanding guns. Handguns will be available for rent.

Basic Handgun Fundamentals is designed for those that have little to no knowledge of firearms, or are just simply needing a refresher on the basics. In this course you will learn the the very basics of operating a handgun and leave comfortable knowing that you have a good grasp on the fundamentals.

Intermediate Handgun Course. In this course you will do a brief overview of the fundamentals and then spend the remainder of the course on the range. While on the range you will work on employing all of the fundamentals, as well as work on consistent and accurate shot groups. This course is designed to help the beginner or novice shooter feel confident in their ability to safely own, carry, and operate their handgun.

Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of handguns as well as proficiency in safe firearm handling; must have some prior shooting experience.

This class meets the requirements of the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) for individuals to obtain their Texas License to Carry a Handgun in accordance with the requirements of Texas Government code §411.188.

The overall objective of the course is to educate students on the responsibilities and laws applicable to handgun license holders. It includes in-class instruction, a written examination, and a handgun proficiency demonstration course.

The class contains four instruction modules, required by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and are outlined below:

• Handgun use and safety, including use of restraint holsters • Laws that relate to weapons and to the use of deadly force • Non‐violent dispute resolution • Proper storage practices for handguns

Each student will be given the current DPS LTC student test and each student must complete the test independently. The proficiency demonstration will be conducted by a certified Texas LTC Instructor using the current course of fire, as determined by the Department of Public Safety. A passing score of 70% is required for the written and the proficiency demonstration for successful completion.

Defensive Handgun Course

This is Part Two of our three-part handgun training series:

1. Basic Handgun Fundamentals
2. Defensive Handgun
3. Advanced Defensive Handgun

This course builds upon the firearm-safety, handling, and marksmanship skills taught in Basic Handgun Fundamentals. It is open to both men and women who are ready to move beyond basic target shooting and begin developing the practical skills needed to carry and use a handgun responsibly for personal protection.

Students will train in a supportive group environment under the supervision of a USCCA Certified Instructor. The course combines classroom education with supervised live-fire exercises focused on defensive handgun use, concealed-carry considerations, situational awareness, and responsible decision-making.

Classroom instruction will cover:

• Developing situational awareness • Recognizing and avoiding potential threats • Concealed-carry methods and considerations • Selecting a defensive handgun and holster • Responsible firearm storage and transportation • Understanding the defensive mindset • Avoidance, de-escalation, and escape • The legal and personal responsibilities associated with self-defense • Developing a realistic personal-protection plan

During the live-fire portion, students will receive hands-on instruction covering:

• Safe firearm handling and basic marksmanship • Safely presenting the handgun from a holster • Establishing a consistent defensive grip • Defensive shooting positions • Recoil control and follow-up shots • Reloading and basic malfunction clearing • Shooting from practical defensive distances • Movement and the proper use of cover • Defensive accuracy and decision-making drills

Prerequisite: Students should successfully complete Basic Handgun Fundamentals or receive instructor approval before registering. Participants must already demonstrate safe handgun handling and a basic understanding of handgun operation.

Students are encouraged to bring the handgun and holster they intend to carry. However, firearm ownership is not required to attend.

Rental firearms are available for students who need one or would like to try another handgun option. Anyone needing a rental should contact the instructor before class to reserve a firearm and confirm ammunition and holster requirements.

By the end of the course, students should have a stronger understanding of concealed carry, defensive handgun use, situational awareness, and the responsibilities that come with carrying a firearm for personal protection.

Successful completion prepares students to continue into Part Three: Advanced Defensive Handgun.

Range Instruction and Shooting Proficiency FOR PARTICIPANTS OF ANOTHER PROVIDERS ONLINE COURSE Prerequisite: Completion of an approved online LTC classroom courses. The Proficiency Demonstration (shooting qualification) is required for every student that completes the online license to carry classroom portion, regardless of what website you take the class through. Train Protect Defend is a Texas LTC instructor and can administer the proficiency demonstration.

This is Day 1 (The price is for the classroom portion and the AR-15 fundamentals book). We start day 1 from the in the classroom (3 hours) going over the parts and basic knowledge of the AR-15.

In day 3 we will start putting everything we have learned in the previous to classes to use with some really excellent training on the Range (2-3 hours). Let this be your first step in your AR-15 journey.

This class is for those who have already taken the classroom portion of the Texas LTC certification, whether it be at another location or online. This is the range shooting qualification only. You will need to bring your paperwork that shows you have already completed the classroom portion. It must provide the instructor information on the paperwork.

This is a scenario based training course designed to challenge your decision making under stressful and dynamic situations. We will be utilizing our law enforcement/military grade VR shooting simulator for this training.

Each scenario will be debriefed afterward. We will be using our law enforcement/military grade VR shooting simulator.

Individualized handgun training for 1 or 2 persons. Geared to focusing on the skill level and needs of the student. Includes classroom, simulator and range time.

This course is the first of a series of tactical shooting courses offered here at Vault Arms. This class focuses on the safely drawing from a concealed position and accurately putting rounds on target. Each student will be instructed in defensive shooting techniques such as shooting up close, shooting and moving, and shooting from behind cover. Each student will shoot approximately 75-100 rounds.

This course is the second in a series. This course picks up where Level One left off and advances to more involved shooting and moving, tactical and combat reloads, fixing malfunctions and low light shooting.

Level One course is required for registration.

This course is the third in a series of courses. It picks up where levels 1 and 2 left off. The focus of this course is shooting from different positions, including from the ground or seated positions. Incorporates elevated speed drills. Students will also be exposed to scenario based drills on the simulator.

This course is designed to introduce the shooter to red dot optic (RDS) shooting. It will enhance your proficiency with RDS technology in transitioning from iron sights and improve accuracy at longer distances. Course will start in the classroom with practice on "finding the dot" and then transition to live fire on the range.

One-on-One Basic Handgun Fundamentals

This private, one-on-one course is designed for first-time shooters, new handgun owners, or anyone who wants personalized instruction in firearm safety, handgun operation, and basic marksmanship.

Students will work directly with a USCCA Certified Instructor at a comfortable pace. Instruction is tailored to the student’s experience level, firearm, physical abilities, and individual training goals. The private format allows students to ask questions freely, receive immediate feedback, and spend additional time developing any skills that need improvement.

No previous firearm or shooting experience is required.

Classroom instruction will cover:

• The fundamental rules of firearm safety
• Handgun parts, functions, and operation
• Safe loading and unloading procedures
• Proper firearm storage and transportation
• Selecting a handgun that properly fits the shooter
• Responsible firearm ownership
• Basic personal-protection considerations

During the live-fire portion, students will receive hands-on instruction covering:

• Proper shooting stance
• Building a safe and effective grip
• Sight alignment and sight picture
• Trigger control and follow-through
• Safe loading and unloading
• Verifying firearm condition
• Recoil management
• Accuracy and confidence-building drills

Students are encouraged to bring their own handgun if they have one, but firearm ownership is not required to attend.

Firearms will be available to rent for students who need one or who would like to try different handgun options. Students requesting a rental firearm should contact the instructor before class to reserve one and confirm ammunition requirements.

Students who successfully complete the classroom instruction and live-fire portion will receive a certificate of completion documenting their training.

By the end of the course, students should have a solid understanding of handgun safety, operation, and basic marksmanship. They should also leave with greater confidence handling and shooting a handgun safely and responsibly.

This course provides a strong foundation for concealed-carry, defensive-pistol, and advanced handgun training.
