What You'll Learn
Choosing the right firearm is a personal decision that requires hands-on experience. In this course, students will have the opportunity to test and evaluate over 30 different handguns under the guidance of professional instructors. You’ll learn how to assess comfort, ergonomics, and performance, ensuring that the firearm you select matches your needs, skill level, and intended use.
Each student will fire 100-150 rounds of ammunition throughout the class, giving you the chance to compare firearms in real shooting scenarios.
What to Bring:
Eye and ear protection (available for rent if needed)
100-150 rounds of ammunition
Comfortable, range-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes
All firearms are provided for this experience. By the end of the session, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to make an informed choice about the gun that fits you best.
Cancellation Policy: ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Sendero Shooting Sports does NOT issue cash or credit card refunds for classes purchased. Sendero will potentially provide purchase credit and/or store credit for a different class at equal or less value. Any rescheduling or class changes are at Sendero's and/or the Instructors discretion. Any class changes by non-member customers need to be made 48 hours or more in advance of a class; any class change requests by non-members within 48 hours are at the discretion of the Instructor and/or Sendero Shootings Sports.

Over 1 million students have taken the U.S. Concealed Carry Association’s course offerings across the nation. Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
