What You'll Learn
This is a two-part class and is required by the State of Texas in order to apply for a License To Carry Handgun.
The first portion is in a classroom setting and is taught in four modules including the following topics: 1 - Laws That Relate to Weapons / Use of Force 2 - Safe Storage 3 - Non-Violent Dispute Resolution 4 - Handgun Use and Safety / Use of Restraint Holster
Portion 2 of the LTC class is conducted on a private range where each student will be required to perform a 50 round live-fire proficiency demonstration. This is designed to ensure the student can perform within a specified level of accuracy and safety.
If successful, the student will be issued a Certificate of Training which must be uploaded to the TX DPS website.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded. However; when refunds are not granted, we will allow the student to attend another course of the same cost.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
While the live fire portion requires only 50 rounds, please bring at least 100 rounds of SAMMI standardized ammo. This as NOT a handgun training class. Please familiarize yourself with your firearm before attending an LTC class. If you need basic handgun training feel free to contact us and we can help with that as well. If extra time is required because you are not familiar with your firearm an extra $50.00 per hour charge will be assessed.
