What You'll Learn
This class consists of two very popular firearm training classes, where the first part of the day, students will receive and instruction on handgun basics and live fire drills that will focus on loading/unloading, unsighted fire, the use of sighting systems, and safety. Then students will transition over to the AR-15 portion to learn the history of the AR-15, it's components, sighting systems, and how it can be used as a very effective home defense firearm.
Cancellation Policy: I do not offer refunds once a course has been paid for. However, I do provide a one-time opportunity to reschedule you for a class date that is suitable to your schedule.
What We'll Teach
Home Defense - Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
In this lesson you will revisit the fundamentals taught to you in the Introduction to Defensive Shooting Fundamentals course. Once you've demonstrated proficiency your instructor will take you through additional drills that will make you a more efficient protector of your home and your family. Drills Include: Safety, Comfort, Competency Concepts, Medical, Extend-Touch-Press, Up through Up Multiples, Balance of Speed and Precision, Emergency Reload, Dynamic Deviation Control, Home Defense Simulation.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Please note that the AR portion of the class is limited to the AR-15 platform. Therefore, no other rifle platform such as AK's will be allowed. At least 100 rounds of handgun and AR-15 ammunition will be needed.
