Oregon Concealed Handgun License (CHL) / Utah Concealed Firearm Permit (CFP) is approximately 6 hours. Upon successful completion of the course, you have the certificates required to apply for both your Oregon CHL and your Utah CFP.

This is a live fire course approximately 5 to 6 hours in length that introduces new shooters to safe handling of firearms with live fire techniques. It also provides shooters with techniques to grow and maintain their skills. Cost is $140 and requires shooters have a safe serviceable handgun and 200rds of ammunition for the course. This class introduces basic techniques in the use of a handgun for defensive use. Prerequisite Introduction to Handgun and or shooter to be comfortable with their firearm and capable of operating it safely. An assessment is shot at the beginning of the class to determine if the shooter’s abilities will allow them to take the course. Introduction to Handgun will be offered if it is determined the shooter is not comfortable enough in operating their firearm. The class is approximately 5 to 6 hours in length and requires the student to have a safe serviceable handgun and 200rds of ammunition.

This is a basic class that provides the training related to firearms laws, use of force, firearms safety and handling. There is no live fire to complete the class. Completion of the class provides the ability to apply for the Utah CFP and Oregon CHL. The two permits provide concealed carry in 31 states. $120 per student Utah and OR, Utah only $75 or Oregon only $75. Add Intro to Handgun Shooting Live Fire for an additional $120. This class focuses on dryfire techniques and the basics of shooting a handgun with the use of a virtual range. This is not a live fire class.

This clinic focuses on the defensive use of handguns in low light and no light scenarios. The introduction of shooting handguns with flashlight techniques and operating in a low light environment. Students will get to practice the techniques dry. Bring the flashlight you carry every day or one you would use to shoot a gun with.

The students are shown common malfunctions that occur with semi-automatic handguns. The most common reasons for the malfunctions are explained and immediate action drills are introduced to solve them. Students will get to practice the techniques dry. Bring snap caps to practice malfunctions.

The students are introduced to cover/concealment and difference between the two. Concepts of how to use cover are introduced.

Students are introduced to engaging targets supine, prone, side and other unorthodox positions.

Prerequisite is Defensive Handgun I to take this class. This class builds on skills developed in Defensive Handgun I. Having a good holster/belt combination is essential as everything is presentation from the holster. 250rds of ammunition is required for the class.

This class will continue to build firearms skills picking up where Defensive Handgun II left off. Shooting on the move is introduced in this class. Students will need 300rds for this class, cleaning gear, holster, belt and any other gear to maintain their firearm.
