My Biography
For 26 years, I was a National Board Certified, master-level English teacher until I retired in July of 2022. A year later, I returned to the classroom in a new role as a special education teacher. In addition to my teaching career, I was a head varsity volleyball coach, flag football coach, and am currently coaching boys club volleyball. In each of these instructor capacities, I excelled at teaching students of all levels and learning styles.
During my year away from teaching, I obtained my concealed carry license and started working at Calibers Indoor Shooting Range and Gun Store. It was in this position where I discovered my new passion for teaching people about firearms and how to shoot. I have a penchant for working with those who are new to firearms, helping them learn safe handling skills and overcoming any fears or misconceptions they may hold about guns. Now, as a certified USCCA instructor, I have the opportunity to combine my passion for teaching and coaching with my love for firearms to help others learn about shooting, self-awareness, and home and self-protection.
