My Biography
Heidi has an engaging teaching style that is both educational and inclusive. Coming from a police background (Patrol, Patrol/Narcotics K-9, Tactical), she brings her practical knowledge of firearms and firearm safety to the classroom. She shares these talents with her team at Compass Defense LLC and her colleagues at Scotshot LLC to instruct nationally recognized firearms programs, which are well suited to helping individuals become educated and competent with their own firearm in a relaxed, stress-free environment. Her background gives her real-world understanding of the need for gun owners to be both comfortable and proficient with the guns they choose. Private lessons and classes taught by her cover initial firearms education, home defense and personal safety as well as advanced training. Thoughtful, methodical and very thorough, each student is instructed according to their particular needs and attributes. From home defense to hunting, she is involved in a wide variety of practical firearms techniques and loves to share her experience helping individuals become their own first responder and defender.
