Brian Slone is the founder of Western Edge Defense established in 2024 to provide top-tier firearms training to students of all levels. As a retired Navy veteran with over a decade of service from 2000 to 2011, Brian brings a wealth of experience in tactical operations, firearms safety, and crisis management. His military background, combined with years of training and firsthand expertise, allows him to offer a unique perspective on personal defense and firearms education.

At Western Edge Defense, Brian offers both **private and group lessons, tailored to the individual needs of each student. Whether you are new to firearms or an experienced shooter looking to refine your skills, Brian’s courses cover everything from the fundamentals of firearm safety and basic operation to advanced defensive tactics and emergency response techniques. He is committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment for all students, with a focus on building confidence, responsibility, and proficiency.

Brian holds an array of certifications including AR-15, Range Safety Officer (RSO), Women's Only Firearms Courses, Countering Mass Shooter Threats, Emergency First Aid, Basic Pistol, Concealed Carry, and Home Defense. He is certified by both the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA), with over two years of active teaching experience through both organizations. Additionally, Brian is a certified Glock armor, providing specialized training in Glock firearm maintenance, repair, and optimization.
