My Biography
With over 27 years of dedicated service as a CHP Officer, Byron Jobe is a highly skilled law enforcement professional whose extensive experience spans firearms training, tactical operations, and advanced officer development. Throughout his career, he has become a respected expert in his field, having trained and mentored countless officers in critical law enforcement skills.
From 1990 to 2014, Byron served as a Range and Weapons Instructor, specializing in firearms, Simunitions training, and advanced tactical exercises. As a Field Training Officer (FTO), he was instrumental in developing new recruits, ensuring they were prepared for the rigors and challenges of active duty. His background also includes expertise as a Drug Recognition Expert, where he not only served in California but also testified as an expert witness in multiple other states on matters of drug impairment and detection. His contributions in this area have made him a sought-after authority in the field of narcotics enforcement.
Additionally, Byron Jobe served as a K-9 Handler and Officer Involved Shooting Investigator, applying his knowledge and analytical skills to critical incident investigations. He has earned a reputation for thoroughness, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of his work.
Byron Jobe was awarded the Governor's Medal of Valor, the state's highest honor for acts of courage in the line of duty, for his actions during an incident that occured while on the job.
