My Biography
Born in Des Moines, Iowa and raised in Sibley, I have been involved with firearms my entire life. After college, I enjoyed a diverse and rewarding career that included farming, new home construction, radio and television, 3‑D film animation, computer support, database marketing, business analysis, and data science. I retired during the COVID era. Following a long recovery and the loss of my husband of 26 years—an NRA instructor and gunsmith—I chose to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a firearms instructor. After earning numerous certifications from multiple nationally recognized organizations, I founded Sabin Academy of Firearms Education. Sabin Academy offers a wide range of courses, including:
