My Biography

Hello, My name is Instructor W. Lyte. I have a passion for firearms that extend over 35 years. I am a father of one but a dad to many more. My passion for Firearms is rooted in being able to defend myself if the need arises. Safety, and learning are my goals. I became and instructor to be able to teach other about safety and properly handling firearms in a safe manner.

I lived in AZ for 28 years after leaving Michigan at the age of 21. I am a College Gradutate,

"My overall class experience was outstanding and will be recommending Timothy Powers to anyone that is interested in getting their CPL he was very professional and explained all the laws very thoroughly and explain what to do in different scenarios and what not to do in the same scenario and when it came to the shooting part of the class, you gave extremely good pointers on how to hold your firearm and how to shoot your firearm so you could hit the center mass of your target and keep all your shots grouped almost perfectly. He is extremely passionate what he does and I think that’s what makes him a great instructor. I honestly wouldn’t mind taking more classes with him if the USCCA offered that ! "
