What You'll Learn
This course is designed to teach the fundaments, etiquette, and respect of firearms to those ages 8+.
This course is designed for children to educate them about handgun operation and safety. This course will provide basic knowledge of firearms and firearm safety at an age appropriate level. They will learn grip, stance, and sight picture. We will also cover how a handgun functions, and the proper way to clear a firearm. They will learn the universal safety rules and what do do if there is an unattended firearm. The use of a 22LR pistol, range time, target, eye and ear protection is included in this class.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of the class date. Classes canceled less than 48 hours before the class will not be reschedule. We are more than happy to accommodate you in a future class if it becomes apparent that you are not going to be able to attend the class you had originally signed up for. We understand that true emergencies happen – putting you in a position where you simply can not attend our class on your assigned date. Students who are “no shows” or do not offer us the courtesy of a 48 hour notice, prior to the date of their class, to let us know they will not be in attendance, are subject to forfeiture of their tuition fee for the class.
What We'll Teach
Children's Firearms & Safety Fundamentals
Whenever children are involved, it’s vital that we consider three important facets of firearms and safety training: Education, Prevention and Action. To cover these three topics, this safety seminar is designed to help adults know more about the why, when and how to address the topics of firearms and safety with kids of all ages. It will also establish foundations for creating positive, welcoming and fun learning experiences for youth, while preventing accidents and promoting the safe, responsible and ethical use of firearms.
