My Biography
Miguel Bosch Jr. started his career in 1990, in the US Coast Guard, where he served in the search and rescue and counter-narcotics fields. In 1996, he became a firearms instructor, responsible for training multiple Coast Guard units before transitioning into a career in Federal Law Enforcement in 1998. He held positions including US Border Patrol agent, Federal Air Marshal, Coast Guard Investigative Service (CGIS) Special Agent, and US Postal Inspector. He graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Sub Machine Gun Instructor course in 2012, Firearms Instructor Training Program (FITP) in 2014, with the Distinguished Weapons Expert designation, US Postal Inspection Service Firearms Instructor course in 2022, and most recently certified as a US Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) Firearms Instructor in 2025. Miguel spent most of his law enforcement career in specialized units and held the position of firearms instructor or coach in each position. He currently serves as a firearms instructor for the US Capitol Police as well as owner and chief instructor of Gun Commander, LLC, a firearms training company. Miguel has a BA in Homeland Security with a concentration in Law Enforcement Intelligence from American Military University and a graduate certificate in Joint Professional Military Education Level 1 (JPME-1) from the US Naval War College. He is married with two adult children and currently lives in Arnold, MD. He enjoys working out and extreme sports, including martial arts, mountain biking and motor cross.
