My Biography
Donna Anthony is currently a Police Chief for a department in Alaska for the and has over 20 years of law enforcement and security experience that includes being a sworn Police Officer with the Palmer Police Department in Alaska, and a Deputy Sheriff in Ohio. During her time with Palmer, she was a Field Training Officer (FTO) and an investigator assigned to the Alaska State Trooper Statewide Drug Task Force Unit in an undercover capacity. She served as a case officer in several State and Federal cases. She has also worked throughout Alaska with many law enforcement agencies including the U.S. Marshals, DEA, ATF, and FBI.
Donna is the owner of Point Blank Firearms & Self Defense Training for over 10 years and travels nationwide as a guest speaker/ instructor. Donna has been a guest speaker / instructors for the USCCA Expo for 5 years.
Donna has graduated from the Bureau of Indian Affairs-Office of Justice Services, United States Indian Police Advance Academy completing the Lt. Command School (2022) and the Chief of Police Command School (2024).
Donna is currently on the board for the Woman Police of Alaska, the Alaska Police and Fire Chaplains, the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), the FBI CJIS Tribal Task Force and a member of the Alaska Police Chief’s Association.
Donna has received numerous awards for her work including the National Association of School Resource Officers Award (NASRO), Sherriff’s Commendations, Hero's Award, Palmer Chamber of Commerce, Alaska State Troopers (AST) Award for Commendation for Honorable Service, DEA Award of Appreciation, AST Mat-Su Drug Unit Task Force Award for Dedication, Governors Award form Governor Sean Purnell and the Enrique "Kiki" Camarena (In memory of DEA Agent) Award presented by the Palmer Elks lodge, as well as a lifesaving award for valor.

You have no experience but would like to learn before you take a basic class? Then this is the course for you. This one-day course is designed for the new shooter. This course covers safe gun handling and basic shooting skills. The classroom portion teaches gun safety rules, proper handling techniques, how firearms work and the fundamentals of shooting--all in a comfortable, no pressure environment. The range portion give students the opportunity to apply skills learned and shoot live ammunition. Prerequisite to take the class : None
Concealed Carry Weapons Permit Course
Multi-Day Saturday 10-4p Sunday Noon-6pm
Successful completion of this two-day course allows students to apply for an Alaskan Concealed Handgun Permit. The classroom portion introduces the Alaska Use of Force Laws and the justifiable use of force for self-defense purposes. We will cover the statutes, their interpretation, and their application in case studies. We will also reinforce gun safety rules, proper handling techniques, and defensive pistol concepts. We will provide familiarization training on drawing from a strong side hip holster. The range portion will give students an opportunity to apply skills learned and it will include a formal shooting qualification test. There will be a written test at the end of class to evaluate the student’s overall understanding of the course.

Point Blank is implementing the Shooting Simulator into our Carry Concealed Course for Alaska. This will take your training to the next level~ Due to ammo shortage will will spend additional time on the Shooting simulator to help cut the cost down for ammo. For the State of Alaska you are requires you to shoot 20 rounds at the range for their qualification. We suggest bring one box of ammo. (50 rounds)
DURATION: 12 hours required by the State of Alaska COURSE FEE: $250
Point Blank is on the State of Alaska approved list for fingerprints and photo's for your CCW Permit ID. We bring in staff during a CCW class:
If needed : $45 for fingerprinting and photos. You can pay by credit card, paypal, cash or check.

What you need to bring:
- Firearm (Semi-automatic Pistol 9mm or larger)
- 2 magazines (7+ round capacity)
- Sturdy gun belt
- Quality Polymer, Kydex, or other rigid material holster. Only strong side hip holsters allowed. Your holster MUST be gun specific and you MUST be able to re-holster one handed. The instructor has the final say on if the holster can be used in the course.
Appendix carry is not allowed. For safety reasons bra holsters, soft side collapsible holsters, cross draw, Serpa, ankle, off-body and behind-the-back holsters are NOT allowed. Only in advance classes. Contact us with questions.

This is NOT a beginner course.

The live-fire range portion allows students to practice the skills learned in class and includes the required State of Alaska shooting qualification.
Students will also complete a written examination to demonstrate their understanding of the course material.

Your holster must:
Be firearm-specific Allow one-handed re-holstering Be worn on the strong-side hip
The instructor has final approval of all equipment.
The following holsters are not permitted in this course:
Appendix carry Cross-draw Serpa holsters Shoulder holsters Bra holsters Soft or collapsible holsters Ankle holsters Behind-the-back holsters Off-body carry (purses, bags, backpacks, etc.)
These carry methods may be addressed only in advanced courses.

A firearm and equipment inspection will be conducted before training begins.

Alaska Concealed Handgun Permit Add-On (4 Hours)
This four-hour course is designed exclusively for students who have successfully completed the Mat-Su Borough Citizens Firearms Course and want to satisfy the remaining training requirements for the Alaska Concealed Handgun Permit.
The course includes a legal refresher on Alaska firearms laws, concealed carry responsibilities, use of force, defensive mindset, the five-step draw presentation, a written examination, and a live-fire qualification from concealment.
Prerequisite: Students must provide proof of successful completion of the Mat-Su Borough Citizens Firearms Course before attending.

3-Hour Practical Safety & Emergency Response Course Sunday | 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
This interactive course combines lecture, PowerPoint instruction, demonstrations and hands-on scenarios focused on synagogue safety and emergency preparedness.
Topics include situational awareness, recognizing concerning behavior and warning signs, access control, emergency communication, evacuation/lockdown considerations, medical response, and protecting children, elderly and vulnerable members.
Participants will apply what they learn through practical exercises and realistic synagogue-based scenarios emphasizing decision-making, communication, teamwork and emergency response.
Designed for synagogue leadership, staff, greeters, volunteers and security-team members.
No prior security or law-enforcement experience required.
This mini-class focuses specifically on lessons which can help to better protect your synagogue through being able to identify a mass shooter, creating an emergency operations plan and learning how to treat traumatic injuries that may occur. The lesson covers specific considerations, teaches you how to evaluate your current level of security at your synagogue, and offers practical exercises which can be done with students to practice the lessons being taught.

What We'll Teach Developing a Personal Plan & Home Protection Plan Developing a personal & home protection plan is a key component of not only preparing for how we should (or might) react if confronted by a violent crime, but also how we might avoid violent crime in the first place. Within this lesson, Michael Martin explains that developing a protection plan is about much more than becoming proficient with a firearm or writing up a home invasion plan. It’s a plan that must encompass awareness, avoidance, and preparation, so that we’re less likely to find ourselves in a situation where we have no other option than to use our firearm, rather than more likely.
