My Biography
Originally from Estherville, IA, Enlisted in the Minnesota Army National Guard in 1989, then Active Duty in 1993. While on active duty, I excelled at providing firearms instruction and emergency first aid and buddy aid. In 1995, I completed the Combat Lifesaver Course in Korea, further enhancing my ability to provide critical life-saving training and support. Prior to my first deployment in 2006, I attended The Warrior School (https://warriorschool.com/) in Tucson, AZ. Before my second deployment in 2009, I attended The Crucible (https://team-crucible.com/) in Fredericksburg, VA. Both of these centers provided elite-level firearms, hand-to-hand, and vehicular tactical engagement training, ensuring top-notch preparedness and skill development. After retiring in 2013 I served on the Security Team and ultimately became the Director of Security for Candlelight Christian Fellowship. During this time, I continued to grow in my understanding and application of physical security and home defense considerations. In 2022, I completed the United States Concealed Carry Associations Instructor course (USCCA), This training is invaluable, as it equips individuals with the highest quality education and skills necessary for personal and professional security. March 2025, I became a Certified American Heart Association CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor, further enhancing my ability to provide critical life-saving training and support.
