Jade Goodhue

I’ve been handling firearms since childhood, with my skills and discipline further developed during my service in the United States Marine Corps. While serving, I earned my Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) black belt and discovered a strong aptitude for instruction and performance-based training. My focus on pistol shooting deepened through advanced tactical pistol coursework at Gunsite Academy, Spartan Tactical Training Group, and continued competitive and skills-based training.

As a 5’1” female shooter, I believe firearms are a true equalizer in defensive situations when paired with sound judgment, proper training, and consistent practice.

Today, my practice emphasizes disciplined dry fire, purposeful live fire, and regular pressure testing through competition to ensure skills hold under stress. My approach centers on helping students build calm, decisive capability — not through shortcuts or gimmicks, but through structured instruction and repeatable standards they can call upon under stress.

At Aegis Defense Training, my goal is simple: to help students leave armed, confident, and proficient, with skills they can rely on when it matters most.
