Extreme Exigency Instructor

Extreme Exigency & USCCA will be hosting an Emergency First Aid Fundamentals Class...coming up in our classroom. This class will cover how to recognize emergencies and what to do to initiate care for the person. Emergencies happen every day; whether at home, in the grocery store, office setting, walking down the street or anywhere in between. The class will also explain what to do when you come across someone with a broken bone, burns or significant bleeding; along with information on how to build your own first aid kit.

This course will provide an understanding for the law-abiding citizen’s right to self-defense. The participants will develop skills and attitudes essential for the safe and effective use of a handgun for the protection of self and family. Further, coverage will be provided on mental awareness, how to avoid victimization, and mindset development for use of a firearm when faced with a life threatening encounter. This course will review basic gun safety rules for guns in the home, travel and concealed carry. Also covered will be the responsibility of firearm ownership laws, how to legally travel with a firearm and the justified use of lethal force. Students will be required to participate in classroom and firearms range activities and demonstrate basic live-fire handgun proficiency. There will also be USCCA simulations provided in the curriculum. This is an approved curriculum by the Illinois State Police and this course meets the first and second part of Illinois Concealed Carry Curriculum Mandates.

Registration includes: Range fees, training firearms rental, safety glasses and ear protection. Florida and Utah non-resident permit-to carry application and bonus materials available for discounted additional fees. We also have shooting park memberships available to continue your skills. **Non refundable registration deposit must be made to save your spot in the class. Do you already have your Concealed Carry Illinois Permit? If it is going on 5 years since you took your last class, you are now eligible to take their Concealed Carry 3-Hour Renewal Class. (Class can be taken anytime, but usually around 6 months before you are set to expire is a great time to take the class and resubmit for renewal).

This is the 3-hour Concealed Carry Renewal Class for Illinois Concealed Carry permit holders. Per Illinois Concealed Carry Act Mandate, the class will consist of reviewing all laws associated with Illinois Concealed Carry followed up with a live fire range qualification.

This course is for the new or beginner shooter. This course provides the student with a basic understanding of handgun and ammunition nomenclature, basic fundamentals of shooting, firearms safety, storage and transportation. The course offers a stress free interactive environment for new or beginner shooters where they learn to properly handle and function their own handgun. It will be 7 hours long with short breaks every hour and a 1 hour lunch break. Students will be put through live fire drills concluding classroom lecture. (Meets Florida CCW Permit Requirements / Additional Fees Apply)

Educational Foundation and Shooting Park at the same time?This is for the person who has no clue where to begin. Reloading can save you money, it's therapeutic, it's fun. It's one more skill to learn. You will learn how to reload standard pistol ammunition. This class will also give you understanding how to reload rifle and shotgun. You will get an illustrated handloading packet as well as a 40 page Basic Reloading Manual donated by Hodgdon Reloading. This will be hands-on and you will learn to load a 9mm round from beginning to end with reloading equipment and that is why space is limited. All other pistol rounds(40, 38, 45, 357) follow the same process. Most reloading classes run $150. This one day session is only $30. This lesson will address the assessment and treatment for a number of trauma emergencies including severe bleeding, a penetrating chest injury, flail chest, severe burns, musculoskeletal trauma (injury to the bones, muscles, ligaments or tendons) and trauma to the head and eye.

Basic CPR instruction. No certification will be given.
