My Biography

I’m a retired police detective turned USCCA Certified Instructor and Account Executive with Delta Defense. I help responsibly armed Americans cut through the noise and find real, practical training that saves lives—not just range time. I created Beyond the Target to challenge shooters to hit smarter, stay accountable, and make better decisions when it matters most. Because every shot counts.

"Carl took the time to explain and show everything exactly as it should be presented in a very professional manner. He answered questions to the fullest extent. He helped to correct improper holding until I got it correct. It would be nice if the class were longer with more practice time, as I myself personally have no experience handling a firearm. This gave me the knowledge and experience for a beginner to look forward to seeking out more classes and to move forward toward getting my CCW certification. Carl took the time after class to talk with the students who stayed after answering questions that were beyond the scope of the class to further their knowledge. I would love to have him as a future instructor again. Where would I look up future classes that are offered at Range 355 in Bolingbrook through your organization? Thank you, Flo"
