What You'll Learn
TVSA’s Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry class not only meets requirements for a concealed carry permit in the great state of Idaho but goes above and beyond to offer legal and certified concealment reciprocity across 39 of the United States (40 if you qualify in Oregon; our certificate and curriculum are accepted as the required certification for the state of Oregon as well). Our curriculum focuses heavily on safety and situational awareness, what it means to be comfortable, confident, and skilled at using an firearm, and the mental fortitude necessary in the readiness to use your firearm to defend yourself and your loved ones. Our ECCW students learn about (or are refreshed on) the basics of firearms, firearm use, self-defense, home defense, and concealed carry.
Additional Focuses: • Understanding and using conflict avoidance to prevent escalation as well as the importance of de-escalation. • Understanding and using situational awareness. • Home Security and developing a home defense plan. • Understanding use of force and proper escalation of force in a self-defense scenario. • Basic shooting fundamentals and concepts. • Physiology of violent encounters – how your body responds to high stress situations. • How to handle the mental and legal aftermath of a self-defense situation.
This course is 4 hours in classroom and 3-4 hours at the shooting range.
Additional topics may include discussing what constitutes a good, reliable, concealed carry gun, as well as discussion around gear, such as concealed carry holsters and the differences between types and styles.
*Rental equipment (firearm/ammunition/eye & ear protection) is available for an additional fee and with advanced notice.
**All firearms must be unloaded and in a case or holster upon arrival. All firearms will remain in their case or holster until specifically directed to be taken out under the guidance of a TVSA Instructor.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
