My Biography
Growing up around police and military, I carry the utmost respect for those who serve and those willing to defend others. While I grew up around guns and hobby shooting, I'd never had the opportunity to dig in deep and develop the skills I consider necessary for responsible gun ownership. In 2012 I decided to change that. After years of education, practice, mentorship, and surrounding myself with those I can learn from, I started to notice a developing passion for sharing what I learn. This quickly evolved into a passion for helping others become comfortable with something a lot of people don't have the opportunity to learn about and practice. Often being challenged because of my passive nature, I usually offer an explanation that resembles a want to develop skills I hope to never have to use. As a husband, father, and community member, I've adopted the responsibility and a willingness to defend myself and those around me. The first step in this is awareness and minimizing potential for being a victim. Sharing my knowledge and personal experiences with others is something I'm very excited to do. After years of serving as a range safety officer for my mentor, we decided together it was time for me to take the next step. In May of 2023 I became a USCCA Certified Firearms Instructor. I plan to continue learning all I can, simply so that I can pass that on to others. I'm a firm believer in the idea that the only time you should be looking down at someone is when your reaching down to pull them up. Advice from me: Stay educated. Stay safe. Stay strong. Stay familiar (practiced). Take care of the little things, because it's not the mountains ahead that will defeat you; it's the pebble in your shoe that will wear you down.
