"This was an outstanding course for the Idaho Enhanced CWP. I’ve taken CWP courses in other states, so I wasn’t expecting much. I figured it would focus mostly on concealed carry laws and definitions, with a basic range component. I was wrong. From the start, it felt different. The instructors were personable, professional, and well-versed in the curriculum. Safety was stressed throughout, starting with a dedicated area where every weapon was checked, cleared, and inspected before class began. Within the first hour, we were doing hands-on training. The split between classroom and range time worked well and really brought the material to life. Before lunch, we’d already had plenty of time on the range, with excellent instruction on grip, draw, trigger pull, sight picture, and aiming. I walked away with new skills, especially in drawing and trigger control. We were served a hot lunch, which was welcome on a cool, wet, windy day, and there were plenty of chances to go inside and warm up. The sections on self-defense mindset, conditioning, practice, and confronting evil in the world were excellent. This is much more than a “concealed carry class.” Virtually any pistol shooter would benefit from it. I’ve been shooting pistols for over three decades, and I learned as much in one day with AFD as I have in the past 10 years. I highly recommend it. Great job, Jim, Amy, and Aaron, and thank you for a great experience."
