NAAGA’s mission is to offer fellowship by educating on the rich legacy of gun ownership by African Americans and offer training that supports safe gun use for self defense and sportsmanship. This course is taught live in person and requires time on a gun range in a live fire environment. IF YOU OWN A PERSONAL PROTECTION FIREARM WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO BRING IT WITH YOU FOR THE RANGE EXERCISE PORTION OF THE COURSE.

Upon fulfillment of course requirements students are granted a NAAGA BASIC HANDGUN course certificate.

This is a 5 hour course designed to educate the student on the safe handling and use of a handgun. Topics covered will be: GA Gun Laws, basic firearms safety, firearm manipulation, general maintenance and fundamentals of marksmanship. This course requires that the student demonstrate the ability to utilize safe gun handling techniques.

Equipment Needed: We WILL SUPPLY EVERYTHING !!

Firearms used: Smith Wesson .380EZ, Smith Wesson 9mm EZ, SIg Sauer 365 XL, HK VP9. IF YOU OWN A PERSONAL PROTECTION FIREARM WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO BRING IT WITH YOU FOR THE RANGE EXERCISE PORTION OF THE COURSE.

Hearing and eye protection, ammunition and two targets are included.

At the successful completion of this course the student will be awarded a USCCA Certificate of Completion.

This class picks up where Basic Handgun leaves off delivering additional skills in handling your firearm, enhancing the fundamental skills, to help master proficiency and marksmanship as well as teaching each student how to clean and maintain their firearm. EACH STUDENT WILL BE GIVEN A PISTOL CLEANING KIT

REALTORS® SAFETY COURSE - This class qualifies you for 3 (CE) Continuing Education Credits - "Other Safety Classes DO NOT"

Upon completion of this course, using lecture, group discussions, demonstrations, and videos, students will be able to describe the key elements critical for personal safety; describing actions to take to assure their safety when meeting with buyers and employ methods that enhance their security during appointment.

MODULE 1: YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY At the conclusion of Module 1 the student should be able to:  Discuss the perception of risk in real estate sales for the REALTORS®  Give examples of personal protection methods used by REALTORS®  Discuss criminal motivation  Define situational awareness  Describe Color Code of Awareness  Discuss Response to Threats  Identify Personal Safety Tools

MODULE 2: SAFETY WITH BUYERS At the conclusion of Module 2 the student should be able to:  Explain Standard Office best practices for first meetings  Describe steps to take when arriving at a property  Discuss some risk mitigation strategies to take during a showing  Recognize Red Flags

MODULE 3: SAFETY WITH SELLERS At the conclusion of Module 3 the student should be able to:  Evaluate the elements of a prospect  Outline the requirements for Open House and Model Home showing safety  Describes risks of photo and virtual home tours

The opportunity to become an Instructor brings with it a very serious obligation to commit to safely practice and maintain high standards which in the future you will impart to your students. Our experience with candidates has shown that there is a need for the opportunity to demonstrate shooting proficiency before classes start. We have observed a failure rate of 25-30% in the Shooting Range Qualification Test. This component is 50% of the requirement to become a certified instructor and the inability to meet this standard will prevent a candidate from obtaining Training certification. The Shooting Range Qualification Test is part of the 2-day curriculum and the expectation is that candidates are practicing prior to class and prepared beforehand to successfully meet the qualifications.
Our experience has shown that there is a need for some candidates to practice proficiency before the Range Qualification Test is administered. We understand that performing in a new environment can be intimidating. South Atlanta Firearms Training is offering time slots for Pre-Qualification consultations. We will offer a 4-hour window Friday prior to the course beginning to consult with our certified Trainers and Training Counselors (Range Time Only)

This is a comprehensive basic pistol course designed for those who want to come away with a full and complete foundation of knowledge regarding the safe handling of pistols and basic marksmanship skills. You will not find a more complete education on safe firearm handling and pistol marksmanship in the Atlanta Georgia region. This course includes basic firearm safety and marksmanship but is more in-depth and expansive than the Basic Pistol Courses we usually offer. The course includes modules on pistol design, function, ammunition and selection, firearm selection, storage, maintenance, concealed carry aspects, a solid foundation of fundamental marksmanship skills, and most importantly safe firearm handling practices. We will also discuss Georgia Constitutional Carry aka permit-less carry, along with the inherent risks, responsibilities and suggested protection from liability that you may incur in a self defense incident. This is a two day comprehensive course. Day 1 will be a full day of in class instruction. Day 2 will be an on range live fire skill demonstration and drills.

A BASIC FIREARMS COURSE COVERING THE UNIVERSAL SAFETY RULES AND MARKSMANSHIP FUNDAMENTALS IS A PREREQUISITE FOR THIS COURSE** This real-world self-defense scenario training is designed to improve your mindset and skills, in a safe and controlled environment. You can practice making split-second decisions, which will help you to understand the legal use of force. This is one of the most practical and effective ways to recognize when — or if — the use of deadly force is justified. Test your knowledge and learn from realistic situations that you could encounter in your daily life. Simulation training scenarios activate students’ mental and physical responses to mimic real self-defense scenarios, giving you a deeper understanding of how you’ll react under pressure.

4 Modules: Safety and Accountability, Legal Considerations (Reminder), Red Dot Fundamentals, and Range Exercises
