My Biography

I am Joseph Brothers Jr., an NRA and USCCA certified Firearms Instructor. My passion for firearms training grew out of a desire to provide my young daughter the knowledge necessary to be safe and responsible around guns. As I learned, I poured those lessons into her. Over the years, I trained many of her peers, friends, family and eventually commercial classes.

At this point, I greatly enjoy guiding students through the intricacies of firearm operation, first shots and the skills necessary to exercise their second amendment rights. At Tactical ARC we are dedicated to promoting safe firearm practices and responsible ownership. We aim to provide clear and concise training for all skill levels. Whether you are considering purchase of a weapon for home defense or recreation, or you are a little rusty and need to brush up on your skills, OR you have a young one who you would like exposed to the world of firearms by a safety minded father of two, we can assist!

"My two teens and I recently completed the Basic Handgun course taught by USCCA instructor, Joseph Brothers, Jr. This was our first time attending a course like this and it truly exceeded my expectations. From the outset, the emphasis on safety was paramount, instilled through clear, concise instructions and practical, hands-on activities that built confidence without ever feeling rushed. Joseph was absolutely fantastic – he went over in great detail Ga law when it comes to guns (I learned a lot here), shared relevant anecdotes (kept it interesting) and overall fostered an environment where questions were encouraged. He made the process of getting familiar with the firearm easy to understand, breaking down components and functions in a way that was easy to understand for beginners. In addition to all of that, the information he provided on home and personal safety was were woven throughout the curriculum. There were some things I had never considered before!! It wasn't just about handling a firearm, but about developing a holistic understanding of responsible self-defense, situational awareness, and de-escalation. The discussions were insightful and practical, providing valuable strategies far beyond just marksmanship. I left feeling much more competent, but also much more informed about overall personal and home security. This course is an absolute must for anyone looking for a comprehensive, responsible, and thoroughly enjoyable introduction to firearms. I am glad I brought my teens along to set a strong foundation on gun safety. "
