ECOPSS is staffed with skilled professionals and instructors who can explain the rules of safe gun handling and the basic skills needed to become proficient in its use. Classes and clinics such as NSSF’s First Shots abound for first-time firearms shooters and owners and when you’re ready, advanced defensive skills classes keep your motivation high while adding to the enjoyment factor.
Fee includes your participation in our Instructor Professional Development Program, immediately upon gaining your credentials. You will be paired with an accountability partner to help you hit the ground running.

HEREINAFTER, WE HAVE SUBSTITUTED "RED DOT" WITH "MOS" (MOUNTED OPTIC SYSTEM) as modern technology developments continue to add new and changing reticle shapes, sizes and colors.
** BE ADVISED ** Course registrants please email proof of current firearm instructor level credentials to Stone@ecopss.com minimum of 5 days before attending class. Must be comfortable with teaching other experienced instructors, preferably LEOs. RSO designation is a big "plus". Violations of safety protocols will not be tolerated.
Throughout the training, we will cover a wide range of important subjects, including zeroing your red dot, draw techniques, utilizing the necessary information for accurate shots, and optimizing MOS usage at different distances. You will learn the art of speed and efficiency in draw and presentation, explore reticle tracking methods, and discover different modes of practice to enhance your skills.
EQUIPMENT To ensure a productive learning environment, please come prepared with the necessary equipment, including a slide Mounted Optic System handgun, extra battery, optic adjustment tools and the ability to "appropriately" carry three magazines and a good-quality holster.
** Please DO NOT bring to class any auto locking or trigger finger release style holsters which require the trigger finger to deactivate/disable the retention mechanism. No shoulder holsters, cross draw, drop leg or ankle holsters.
To maintain credentials and assure quality control, certified MOS transition instructors must annually certify a minimum of 3 people and attend a refresher/update instructor event, curriculum and cost tbd.

ATTENTION LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS
Though this course content meets multiple States' criteria for LEOs to receive 16 CEU credits, each instructor must be a "POST" level certified instructor for their student to receive those credits.

- Orientation & Safety Briefing (2) Sight Alignment / Trigger Control /Accuracy (3) Target Recognition & Analysis (4) Weapons Clearing / Manipulations (5) Firearm Setup & Firing / Judgment & Decision Making (6) Range Exercise & Student Evaluation
PLEASE BE ADVISED: This is not an introductory level course. Attendees must have a solid handgun operator base of knowledge and expertise with appropriate skills to earn a passing score.
Through marksmanship and dynamic skill development drills, students will improve their ability to stop a threat in daylight, low-light, from concealment and cover, as well as when moving and shooting. The program addresses actions to take in the event of MOS failure and corrective actions in such events.
This instructor trainer program is POST level approved in the states of Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida and Oklahoma whose Departments are transitioning to the use of a handgun MOS on their duty weapon. Law Enforcement Officers from these states will receive 16 hours of POST CEU.
