What You'll Learn
This is not the same Instructor Certification Course you will find with any other Training Counselor. This course will included additional training for Instructor Development in the classroom and on the range.
You will learn how to better teach in the classroom and how to teach on the range. This education I will share with you over my brief tenure in the firearms industry as well as practices of teaching outside of the industry will help you improve and help you with getting started. I will also be sharing marketing strategies and different tools that will help you deploy your skillsets in a way that they become an effective tool in your toolbox and assist with creating your initial business.
You will also receive an Instructor starter kit from Double Tap Coalition on your first day of class.
If you are a USCCA Certified Instructor in good standing or wanting remedial training, you can attend this course for a discounted rate. Please contact me for registration.

What We'll Teach
Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals - Certified Instructor
Upon successfully completing this course, you will become a USCCA Certified Instructor uniquely authorized to teach the USCCA course, Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals.
This course has become the nation’s leading curriculum for law-abiding Americans seeking to obtain their concealed carry permit. When it comes to firearms fundamentals and concealed carry and home defense concepts, you will provide your students with high-quality material and help them understand the ‘why’ behind training concepts.
Class Preparation: You must complete the corresponding online learning course. (Automatically sent to you upon registering for the class.)
Day 1: you’ll be taught by a USCCA Training Counselor on a number of valuable topics including:
- Top ten instructor mistakes and how to avoid them
- Teaching best practices
- Running a safe live fire range
Day 2: You’ll have a chance to:
- Demonstrate your knowledge of the USCCA training material through seven short presentations to a group of your peers
- Run a live fire range, guiding your peers through the safe completion of the USCCA course of fire

Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Complete the e-Learning several times and read the book. This is how you learn the course content. You are being evaluated on the following: - Course content - Ability to teach - Attitude - USCCA ethos Class begins each day at 10am. Please do not plan to be complete prior to 6pm. Bring or plan for the following: - Great attitude & open mind - Self-Assessment Worksheet (Learning Styles Inventory) - Handgun - Two to three magazines for your handgun - 150+ rounds of ammo (NO – steel core, aluminum or steel casing) - Dummy rounds for your handgun - Eye protection recommended and electronic ear protection - Weather appropriate clothing for indoor range - Sweatshirt/Fleece for classroom - Ballcap - Snacks & anything you want to drink other than coffee & water - If you are a coffee snob …. - Plan to bring your lunch each day (You are free to leave during our lunch break) - Note taking material and/or laptop/tablet - USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals Textbook - You may also bring a holster and mag pouches as well.
