What You'll Learn
As part of the Concealed Carry – Home Defense (CCHD) Explorer Academy, this Track offers a welcoming next step in your firearms journey. In this session, we break down the key differences between marksmanship and defensive shooting, and help you build confidence through a better understanding of stance, grip, sight picture, trigger control, and more.
You’ll continue developing safe and effective habits with 2 hours in the classroom including dry fire training, guided in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment.
This Track is included in the $400 Academy Package or available as a $75 standalone class.
We will have Dry-fire training, usable with any handgun. Feel free to bring your personal, unloaded firearm to train with. We will also have a SIRT gun available as well.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
What We'll Teach
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
This lesson will continue with the basics, including a very visual overview of what we call the “building blocks” or the fundamentals for accurate and safe shooting. Within this lesson, Michael Martin will explain the differences between the skills required for being a good “marksman” at the range, and the skills that might be required to save your life if you are ever the subject of a violent attack.
