What You'll Learn
As part of the Concealed Carry – Home Defense (CCHD) Explorer Academy, this Track helps you build a strong foundation in safe and responsible firearm ownership. Together, we’ll reinforce the Four Universal Safety Rules, explore how defensive firearms function, compare different handgun types and calibers, and break down the basics of ammunition, ballistics, common malfunctions, and more.
This 2-hour classroom-only Track is designed to boost your understanding and confidence in a comfortable, supportive setting.
Included in the $400 Academy Package or available as a $75 standalone class.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
What We'll Teach
Self-Defense Firearms Basics
This lesson will introduce you to a wealth of information on different types of self-defense firearms including handguns, home defense shotguns, and the AR-15 platform, where Michael Martin provides easy to understand explanations of the common terms used so frequently. The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts.
