My Biography

I have been shooting long guns for 55 years and have been training defensive pistol shooting and tactics for the last 24 years. I have trained with several nationally recognized experts including Massad Ayoob. I am the founder and owner of EDGE Defensive Training, LLC I was a firefighter/paramedic and rescue chief for 14 years before attending medical school and becoming a physician/EMS medical Director for 34 years. I enjoy teaching and take pride in making my classes fun and safe. My teaching method is to explain the techniques of shooting, demonstrate, guide, and then enable my students to shoot with defensive accuracy and safety.
