What You'll Learn
Level 2 – Fundamental Defensive Shooting Skill Development & Efficiency
Course Description This course builds upon foundational skills and introduces efficiency, consistency, and defensive firearm handling. Students will learn to draw from a holster, reload efficiently, clear common malfunctions, and engage targets with improved accuracy and time awareness.
This course bridges the gap between basic shooting and defensive application. Prerequisite: Level 1 or instructor approval.
Cancellation Policy: • Cancellations submitted 48 hours or more prior to the scheduled session incur no penalty. • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session will be subject to a 50% fee. • No-shows will result in forfeiture of the full training fee. • One complimentary reschedule is permitted if requested more than 48 hours in advance.
What We'll Teach
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
This lesson will continue with the basics, including a very visual overview of what we call the “building blocks” or the fundamentals for accurate and safe shooting. Within this lesson, Michael Martin will explain the differences between the skills required for being a good “marksman” at the range, and the skills that might be required to save your life if you are ever the subject of a violent attack.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Students should bring the holster that they plan on using for everyday carry. I would recommend bringing a jacket, sports coat or any garment that you might use for concealment. Be prepared to move dynamically for some of the drills. If contacting via phone, please leave a brief message, including your name. Attention: It is imperative that each student brings enough water/hydration fluids for the duration of the training.
