Israel "Tony" Abrante

Twisted Freedom Defense was founded on a mission to empower everyday citizens with the knowledge, skills and mind set necessary to handle firearms safely, confidently and responsibly.

Our head trainer TONY is a highly accomplished professional with a rich background in martial arts to include judo, Jiujitsu, Mauy Thai and wrestling. He also carries a deep passion for performance shooting.

Tony has received thousands of training hours from people considered to be the best in the industry both in combative and protection.

Tony served 6 years in the US Army attached to an Air Defense Unit, where he excelled in every weapon he trained on. He earned multiple distinguished shooter awards and the President's Hundred individual tabs for two years consecutively. He also performed duties as post Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection while deployed OIF/OEF.

With an extensive background in combative instructions, competitive concepts and tactical applications of firearms Tony brings a wealth of expertise to the table. Always willing to assist others, he takes pride in sharing his vast knowledge and skills to foster growth and proficiency in shooting and personal protection.

His passion for sharing knowledge and empowering others is reflected in his commitment to the art of teaching.
