Hello, my name is Rob Sobek, and I am the Owner and Lead Firearms Instructor of Triangle Firearms Training.

I currently serve as a Police Officer with a local law enforcement agency in the Denver Metro area and have more than 20 years of experience in public safety, serving in both sworn and non-sworn positions. My experience in public safety has provided me with a strong foundation in safety, communication, situational awareness, and responsible firearms practices.

My journey as a firearms instructor began in 2012, when I became certified as an NRA Pistol Instructor. Since then, I have continued to expand my education and instructor credentials. In March 2015, I became certified as an NRA Refuse To Be A Victim Instructor, followed by becoming a USCCA Certified Instructor in October 2017. I am also a certified NRA Range Safety Officer RSO.

I believe that becoming a great instructor is an ongoing process. I continually seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and refine my skills through additional instructor development, professional training, collaboration with other instructors, and—most importantly—learning from my students. My goal is to bring the highest-quality instruction possible to every class while helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to become responsible and proficient firearm owners.

At Triangle Firearms Training, I strive to provide a safe, informative, professional, and constructive learning environment for every student. Whether in the classroom or on the range, my focus is on providing practical instruction that students can understand, apply, and build upon.
